The Pines: Understated Elegance
As you enter the U-shaped harbor, you are surrounded by sophistication. Yachts float beside crafts of all sizes and in the daytime, residents go about their shopping and dining in the “downtown” area of the Pines. Wooden “roller coaster” boardwalks wind their way through luxurious, lavish, private homes. There are more pools in The Pines than anywhere else on the Island.
Fire Island Pines is home to the gay community as has an understated elegance. Their next door neighbor is Cherry Grove, Fire island’s other LGBQ town. Residents are very active in their community, hosting many cultural events and fundraisers all season long. This year, many events have been cancelled, but safety is first here and the lifestyle still wonderful.
