From NYC: To The Bay Shore Ferries

Servicing: Kismet, Saltaire, Fair Harbor, Dunewood, Lonelyville, Atlantique Town Beach, Ocean Beach, Ocean Bay Park, Seaview, and Point O'Woods

• Triboro Bridge to the Grand Central Parkway East. This becomes the Northern State Parkway. Take this East to the Meadowbrook Parkway South. Continue to the Southern (State) Parkway East. Stay on the right fork and take exit 42 South (Fifth Avenue Bay Shore).
• Make a left at the stop sign and the first right onto Fifth Avenue. Continue South about 1 1/2 miles to Main Street. Turn left, and then right onto Maple Avenue. Go to the end of Maple Avenue, where you will see signs for the various ferry terminals.

        Alternate routes:

• Midtown Tunnel to the Long Island Expressway East. Take exit 53 South (Sagtikos Parkway). Take this to the end of the Sagtikos, and quickly get into the right lane on the Southern (State) Parkway to exit 42 South ( Fifth Avenue Bay Shore) See above directions to the ferry dock.
• Grand Central Parkway East to the Cross Island Parkway South. Continue South to the Southern Parkway East. Continue East to exit 42 South (Fifth Avenue Bay Shore). See above for directions to ferry dock.

  Take the Fire Island Ferries across the Bay and you will be in Fire Island in about 25 minutes.

From NYC: To The Sayville Ferries

Servicing: Cherry Grove, Fire Island Pines, Sailor's Haven (Sunken Forest) and Water Island.

• Midtown Tunnel to the Long Island Expressway East. Get off at Exit 59 South. Turn right at the first light onto Ocean Avenue (rt. 93). Go about 6 1/2 miles South to the first light following the R.R. crossing. Make a left at the light onto Main Street in Sayville. Follow the signs to the Ferry Terminal.

        Alternate route:

• Grand Central Parkway East to the Cross Island Parkway South. Continue South to the Southern Parkway East. Continue East to exit 44 East (Hechsher Parkway). Take this to Sunrise Highway (rt.27). Continue East about 4 1/2 miles to Lakeland Avenue South. Turn right onto Lakeland Avenue. Go about 2 miles to the 2nd traffic light (Main Street) in Sayville. Follow the signs to the Ferry dock.

  Take the Sayville Ferry across the Bay and you will be in Fire Island in about 25 minutes.
